I want to use these to light my 20 ft. flag pole. Will they throw enough light that far?

The floodlights will throw light about 5 to 6 feet, which is not enough distance for your flagpole.

Probably not unless you can install them closer- 6 to 10 feet would be about right. If there is lot's of other light nearby form homes and traffic they may not be bright enough to be noticed.
These are about the brightest I've seen of this type, and I have bought dozens of similar designs.

The Nature Power Pewter Solar Floodlights uses Ni-Mh batteries and has up to 8 hours of run time.

Two standard AA NIMH batteries. I would expect them to stay on about 5 hours if they are in completely unshaded sun from about 10 am to 2 pm. Fewer hours if shaded or not south facing.
