It is mostly metal with plastic protectors over the spinning blade. Some plastic on the knobs that tighten the guides. Motor housing and support frame are a good solid metal.

The Chain Sharpener #193020 will sharpen a chain with a 3/8 pitch and a .050 gauge. The correct wheel size for that chain is a 1/8 grinding disc.

That is the chain I sharpen all the time. Use the 1/8" the 1st coulple of times then you can use the 3/16".

Will this machine grind the blade guides?

Blade guides have to be re-sized as the blades or teeth wear down. Blade guides determine the depth of cut. Not re-sizing your guides will greatly diminish your cutting speed. Will this machine take care of this action?

yes, but I found it is easier to use the old file and guide to do this. With my chains the grinding wheel would need to be changed to a wider one to do this. You can leave he chain on the sharpener and use the file and guide though...

Currently, we do not have a saw chain sharpener that runs off a 220 volt outlet.

This is a 120Volt unit. you would need a transformer to use 240Volt

Does this sharpener include a grinding wheel dressing feature

After sharpening awhile, the grinding edge of the grinding wheel needs to be "dressed" to restore it to its original shape. Does this sharpener have that feature?

No it doesn't have a so called feature for that, but a dressing stone is supplied with the unit, to be used by hand, and it works.

No, the drag dictates how big a bite the tooth behind it takes as long as you have taken care of your chain about every third time you sharpen hit the drag link with a flat file for a couple 3 or 4 strokes
