It will cut about 3" through the 4x4 which is actually 3.5" x 3.5" in one pass. Then flip it over and finish the cut. Not a big deal.

This Klutch compound miter saw has 9 positive miters stops 0, 15, 22.5, 30, and 45 degree both left and right.

It also has 2 positive bevel stops 0, and 45 degree left side only.

The positive miter stops are at 45, 30, 22.5, 15, 0, 15, 22.5, 30, and 45. The bevel adjustment is clearly marked, but there are no positive stops for this adjustment, apart from the extremes (0 and 45). Please note that the positive miter stops are nice, but not incredibly accurate. Make a test cut first, and make any minor corrections (normally 1 degree or less) before commiting your work piece.
