Questions & Answers for Marathon Tire Flat-Free Cart Tire - 20in. x 2.4in., Model# 92001

Question

bearing size?

Hi,

I see that the wheel comes with 3/4 bearings installed. It also comes with extra 5/8 bearings. I'm wondering if there are 1" bearings that would fit in the hub of this wheel. If so can you give me details?

Thanks,

TJ

Question

I don't understand what is meant by flat free? Is this a pneumatic tire, is there a "tube" inside? I need the 3/4 inch bore, is tire of hard rubber?

A pneumatic tire will have a tube filled with air. A flat free tire is a solid polyurethane that has the bounce and feel of an air or pneumatic tire but never goes flat. This tire has a 3/4" inch bore and would work good for you.

Question

question about item # 189383

When putting hub on axel do I need to drill for a cotter pin on the inside of the hub location to avoid the hub from moving inward and rubbing against the cart? I guess I could use flat washers on the inside of the hub on the axel to avoid this problem I have experinced with the original wheels.
Thank you

No holes should be drilled in the hub of this tire. It is not set up for this. Maybe drill a hole in the axle for the cotter pin and use a washer or two on the inside. There are also locking collars that use a set screw that can be purchased to achieve this purpose without any drilling.
