Questions & Answers for "HawkLine by Behlen Country Subsoiler - Category 1, Model# SS"

Question

What is the measurement from the angle iron crossbrace to the point of the sub soiler?

My concern is that my 3 pt. hitch arms will only go so low, maybe 8" from the ground. So to get a 22" working depth I would need this unit to measure 30" from the cross brace (where the pins are bolted) to the bottom point.

Question

Does this model have a sheer pin?

Because it digs so much deeper than the other model you advertise, I would think it needs the protection offered by a sheer pin in the event of hitting a rock or root.

Yes, on the manual there is a part number listed for the "foot". It is called the shank. It would be available directly through the manufacturer.
