The logs are included with the stove. There 5 logs I believe. One goes across the back on slots. Two are placed on slots in the front. Two more rest on pins with one log on each side. The logs that I got with mine are actually painted very nicely. Be sure that the logs are installed in the correct locations according to the manual.

Question

How hot will the top sides and rear of the unit get.

I realize the face of the unit will be very hot but was wondering about the other surfaces. I want to know if the top gets hot enough that in an emergency could be used as a cooking alternative.

Not very, there are three separated plates above the flames which warm the air between them so the top is not so hot you can't touch it. You will not be able to cook on it at all. We leave stuff on the top of ours. Only the sections directly in front of and above the flames get really hot.

you will need a shut off valve and a line to run from stove to hard line. flex line or if you are able to run copper line and use flare tool for fittings (something i would leave to a pro.,, may cost you about $80 but will be done right) .. flex line works just the same.

The flames will be similar in color that is shown in the picture(yellow, white). All the ProCom vent-free heaters will be approximately 99.9% efficient, regardless of what color flame is used.

answer 2
Flames are white/yellow...gold. I was told by the tech that the blue flame heaters would not be the option of choice for my home situation. I don't know how they compare. All I know is that this little heater really does the job. Soooo worth the minimal $$$$ to change over from oil.

answer 4
The flame is white and yellow for the most part. When you get closer to stove you can see some blue flames, but the logs camouflage it nicely. Efficiency is not effected as far as I can tell. It burns clean and leaves no funny smells in the house. It is 99.9% efficient.

Question

Can I attach the blower later after the stove is setup?

I'm not sure I will need the blower, and to save costs would like to wait to see if I need the blower. I may not even need it. After the stove has been installed, is it hard to add the blower later?

I ordered mine without the blower. We have a ceiling fan in the room and we didn't have any trouble moving the heat around the room. If you have a ceiling fan...save your money.

Yes...the blower install was super easy and can be done anytime. Just make sure you disconnect the gas supply line. The blower really distributes the heat; you may really want to consider it. I am glad I spent the extra $100.00 as the blower even helps to heat our upper floors too.
