How large is the inside (i.e. max size of logs), and can you burn non-wood items?
We currently have a similar stove -- getting old -- and we use it non-stop at our cottage when it's cold. We burn twigs and fallen branches from outside, but we also find it convenient to toss in the odd paper product to cut down on our volume of garbage. We also toss in scrap pieces of lumber from various building/repair projects, again to cut down on garbage. The wood we burn is about 20" in length, give or take a couple of inches. Since we have a large supply already cut and cured, we need to find a stove that can take this size of wood, and also burn other wood and paper items.
