Question

Does this repel pigeons?

I am on the top floor of an apartment building and want to place this on my balcony. Really tired of cleaning pigeon droppings off my balcony. People feed the birds in the park across the street and they come to my roof afterwards.

As this unit is motion activated there is no way to determine how long the batteries will last. It would depend on how often it is set off and also the type batteries you use. They might last 2 weeks or 3 weeks as an estimate. If left on 24 hours a day the manufacturer recommends setting up with 120 volt as you will be changing batteries often. It will chirp when the batteries need changing.

The manufacturer suggests leave the unit plugged in at all times as this will provide a constant noise that humans can not hear. The best suggestion is to point the animal repeller towards the direction that the animal is approaching from.

answer 2
I have tried a variety of products to protect my birds, and have found the guardian predator lights helpful, it may or may not work for your problem, if it does not help you may try looking into animal trap, or even sensor powered lights which tend to startle cats and dogs.
