Will the adhesive stick to asphalt shingles?

Will the adhesive be strong enough to hold spikes on a roof at the beach that gets lots of wind and moisture?

The adhesive on the Bird X Bird Spikes is strong enough to mount to an asphalt shingle roof and will withstand strong winds and moisture.

Sorry, I don't know because I used zip ties to fasten the strips to wood 2 x 2s. I think the glue is supposed to be very strong.
