Question
when using Batteryminder, how do I wire the trailer
The wires from the batteries both charge the batteries and supply the trailer with power. If I disconnect them, I will not have battery power.
When using the batteryminder, do I disconnect the trailer battery charger?

answer 1
The battery minder should be used alone. The trailer battery charger should be disconnected.

I've got a travel trailer, too. It has a 110V AC connection for "shore power." When it is connected to the house current, it charges the battery, so I don't need a separate charger.
If you have a trailer that does not connect to house current or does not have a charger of it's own, than simply make sure everything is turned off and connect the BatteryMINDer to the battery with the terminal clamps as normal.

Yes. I had to on my RV. The RV's battery charger system simply over the winter fry's the batteries. I left the trailer plugged into shore power and used the AC for lights etc.
