This Schumacher onboard battery maintainer is fully automatic and is an excellent choice for charging and maintaining 12V batteries. The battery maintainer charges battery in 2-12 hours and automatically switches to float-mode battery monitoring when charging is complete. It provides reverse polarity and overcharge protection and works using standard 120V AC power. Question

must the battery leads be disconnected from the battery while battery is in use?

I am using this to keep my utv charged up. Do I need to take it off while in operation. I know the 120v needs to be unplugged I am refferring to the twelve volt leads?

Per manufacturer the 12 volt battery leads do not have to be disconnected. They can stay plugged in.

If charger is not plugged in to 120AC will it discharge the battery while connected?

If yes, at what rate? Couldn't find anything on it in the manual and I didn't want to assume.

This charger can remain connected to the battery when not charging without discharging or causing harm to the battery.

This Battery Maintainer is NOT waterproof, and can be used on Marine batteries Only if batteries are removed from boat first.

Being the AGM battery is a lead-acid battery, the maintainer will work with this battery.

Can it be used to charge more than one battery?

I have a multiple battery system that where the alternator is connected through a battery isolator. Could this be connected in the same manner to charge both batteries?
