This NorthStar 6500 Watt generator head is designed as a replacement for portable electric generators that are powered by an 13+ HP gas engine and require a J609B engine adaption.100 copper-wound brushless design for years of long-lasting power. Brushless generator heads are proven to be superior in efficiency, performance and lifespan compared to brush-style generator heads. Dimensions L x W x H in. 12 7/8 x 9 7/16 x 9 3/4, Engine Required 7/8 shaft dia., Rated Watts 6,000, Required HP 13 3,600 RPM, Surge Watts 6,500. Brushless design with high quality copper windings 50 Amps @ 120V 25 Amps @ 240V SAE J609B engine adaption 6 1/2in. bolt hole circle with 2 upper mounting holes 30 off vertical 45 off vertical for 2 lower mounting holes 5 3/4in. center pilot 7/8in. engine shaft diameter x 4 5/16in. shaft length with taper of 2 1/4in./ft. This is a replacement generator head for generators with 6500 watt surge and 6000 running watts. It would require a generator with a minimum 13 HP engine that would have SAE J609B engine adaption.

This generator head does not have thermal overload protection. As long as you have proper ventilation and is not used in an enclosed space, it can run continuously without overheating. It does have breakers that will trip if you try to pull too many amps.
