The 3rd axis fixture arm should not be removed from this Strong Hand welders clamp. It is calibrated at the factory to be exactly 90 degrees.

The third axis arm can be removed, but it is NOT convenient, NOR IS IT REQUIRED. The arm is mounted on a shaft and has a torsion spring that rotates the arm and clamp out of the way above the fixture when it is not being used. The welding zone is fully accessible for both two and three axis work with no modifications. This is an incredibly well thought out machine.
