The leads on this machine are connected right to the transformer. A person could extend the current leads by splicing longer leads onto it. I do know that others have done this with success. However, that would require cutting the current leads and would void any warranty.

You can, and I did but you have to cut the leads that are on it, install two terminal blocks, then put on the new leads. The OEM leads are connected straight to the wires coming out of the tramsformer!
