Question

How does the grind mode function and what is the lightest shade that can be viewed through the lense?

I'm fusing Quartz crystal glass rods that heat up with a white glow. I'm looking for an auto darkening hood that could go down as low as shade 4-6.Thank You

Staff Answer
The grind mode on the MetalMan Solar Welding Helmet works by not darkening the lens when the grinder throws sparks. The shade when in grind mode is 3.5, and cannot be adjusted.
