The one I have does not have a switch. I comes on when I plug it into the cig lighter port in the truck.

No, this Peterson Manufacturing flood light plugs into a common 12 Volt cigarrete lighter outlet, it is not a hard wire application.

No it doesn't need to be hard wired, has a cigaret lighter plug on the end. But you could easily hard wire it if you wanted to.

The manufacturer(Peterson Manufacturing) does not have a lumen rating for the 12 volt Magnetic Mount Floodlight. The unit includes a H3 55 watt halogen bulb.
