I doubt it -- it is designed for continuous duty spark ignition engines. If you use a gasoline engine powered generator to run your electric air compressor, it will work on that...

This does not come with clips. This comes with wiring that is made to connect to the spark plug wire's inductive lead on your equipment.

No clips -- none needed. You just wrap the input wire around one of spark plug wires and attach the other to ground. What kind of workshop tool? It is designed for continuous duty engines.

This Tachometer/Hour Meter should only be used in dry conditions, getting this item wet would make it inoperable.

how will rpms be displayed?

for example i have a 2 stroke 2 cyl engine on my boat.
will the device display actual rpms or must i multiply or divide by 2 to get correct reading?

Yes, this digital hour meter and tachometer will work with a 4 cylinder 4 stroke engine. It will not work on diesel engines. This connects to the engine by wrapping the red wire around the spark plug wire and grounding the white wire to the engine frame.

Question

Will this read out 19,000 rpm on my two stroke power blower?

My power blower needs to be tuned to 19,000 rpm for ideal performance. Can your tach read this high? Once again, it is a two stroke single cylinder 55 cc machine. jj

The highest rpm (revolutions per minute) the tachometer can go to is 24,000 rpm.
