Dropping the PSI does not make a big difference in the CFM. At 45 PSI you would be at approximately 5.5 to 5.6 CFM.

answer 2
No it can not. The motor was not designed to run both. Units that are designed to run both are actualy 230 volts motors that are not heavy so 115 will turn it. If you run it off a 230 you will burn it out because the wiring inside the motor is not designed to handle than much power.

The Garage Mate requires 1 pint (1/2 liter) of oil for the first oil change. The top of the red sight circle is a another way to make sure enough oil is being added.

Theoretically, one bottle of the all weather air compressor oil will do it, but I have found that sometimes you need 1 or 2 oz extra. So I suggest you get two bottles.

You can hook up an expansion tank to this compressor. The auxiliary tank would have to be piped in with a hose or hard piping. Removal of the service connection may be required.

answer 2
Adding an expansion tank would be as easy as any other unit. You would come off the output fitting of this compressor with a line to your secondary tank. Then all of your tools would come off of the secondary tank. Presumably, you would put an additional regulator with water drain after your secondary tank.

This air compressor will give you 5.2 CFM at 90 PSI or 4.6 CFM at 135 PSI. You would need to check the CFM and PSI requirement of the orbital sander you purchased to see if this compressor would cover the tools requirements.

answer 2
Depends on how much the air the sander uses. Some use LOTS of air some you can run it on this compresoor so depends on what the cfm is on your specific sander but chances are it will.
