This compressor does require oil to start. The start-up kit includes all of the oil and filters that you will need to run and maintain the compressor for the first year plus you will get 1 year added to the warranty. Alternately, you can add Ingersoll Rand’s All Season Select oil.

This compressor is rated at 14.3 CFM at 90 psi. At 30 psi the volume is still going to be greater than 14.3 CFM. I would recommend a compressor with a little more CFM.

This air compressor can be used with your 3/4" MaxLine Master kit. This compressor has a 1/2" outlet so a 1/2" to 3/4" adapter fitting would need to be used. Northern Tool does not carry a 1/2" to 3/4" adapter fitting. Click the links below to view the appropriate filter and compatible air dryers.

Single Phase motors have low starting torque whereas a three phase motor will have higher starting torque. Single phase motors are also less efficient compared to three phase motors.

If using in weather below 40 degrees Fahrenheit it may be recommended to use a lighter weight oil. Please contact the manufacturer direct for more information on how to winterize an air compressor.
