answer 1
This item does not include a leader hose. The reel will "ratchet" and hold the hose into position until it is retracted. The hose that comes on this reel is red rubber. It could be replaced with another hose that has 3/8" NPT ends.

answer 2
1. No lead hose is included. I made my own from a 50 foot hose (cut to length).
2. It works like a retractable extension cord meaning it locks when you stop pulling and then retracts when you pull out some more and let it go back. There's a little bit of a trick to getting it to lock but you figure it out after a few uses.
3. I would think so since the hose is threaded but I've not had to do this yet.

answer 5
No leader hose but easy to get to fitting.
this hose will stop (if you want) on every rotation. So any length is available. Retracts after another simple pull.
No need to replace the hose, The one that comes with this unit is fine.

1. The hose reel has an adjustable rubber stopper which can be placed at any part of the hose. This allows you to mount the reel high up in the air and hand the hose down for access.
2. Yes, the reel has 6 notches/stops on it. You pull on the hose and you can hear it click and the hose will stay out until you pull on the hose to release the stop and the hose will retract.
3. I have never replaced a hose on a reel. Can't help you out on this one.
