No, the black soap nozzle is a low pressure nozzle, and the pump draws the chemicals only when the low pressure soap nozzle attached.
To better understand... the injector has a spring loaded ball valve that prevents any chemicals from entering the pump at high pressures. When you put the low pressure soap nozzle on your gun it allows that ball valve to open up and draw chemicals from your designated chemical reservoir.

No. The chemical wont be dispensed unless the correct (chemical) nozzle is used.

Mine does not have a seperate shut off valve, but it has a Fuel Pump that will not let fuel flow unless engine is running.

Because the fuel tank on this pressure washer is located below the carburetor, a fuel shutoff is not necessary. The fuel pump will not allow fuel to flow when the engine is not running.

Doesn't need a shut off valve fuel tank sets lower than carb therfore it doesn't drain gas into carb. Hope this helps u.

No compression release on this model, but it does pull very easily.

The pump oil on this NorthStar pressure washer should be changed after the first 50 hours of use and then should be changed every 500 hours or every 3 months.

Very available Northern carries all replacement parts for this pressure sprayer including pumps. That is the reason I bought the pressure washer from them. (unlike some Chain stores which will discontinue a product northern has kept there line going strong ) They also have a service department at some of there store's

NorthStar does not recommend any type of chemical to be run through the pump. The soap injector provided can be used with chemicals that are not a corrosive or chlorine type ingredient.
