Questions & Answers for NorthStar Pressure Washer Heater/Steamer Add-on Unit - 4000 PSI, 4 GPM, 120 Volt

Question

Can this be used on Northstar cold water machines

I have seen where the expert has said that only cold water can be used on the cold water machines as they are specified at 140 degree in and out. To operate, this unit will need both diesel and 120 volt power. The burner is fired by diesel and requires the electricity for the ignition. Although the outlet that is required should have a 15 amp breaker the actual draw will be lower.

The temperature at the wand will vary depending on a number of variables including hose length and ambient air temperature. The shorter the hose length and the higher the air temperature the less thermal loss there will be between the unit and the wand.

Depends on the length of pressure hose, and the outside temp. With 50' of hose and snow on the ground, I lose about 5 degrees.

This unit is made for outdoor use only. Indoor use could result in exposure to hazardous fumes and a possible fire hazard. At this time we do not offer or condone any exhaust system that could be attached to this unit.
