The cord self retracts with an internal spring mechanism.

This cord reel is only meant for use in dry indoor areas. This would not be recommended in a mobile vehicle.

The cord reel is retractable and works like any conventional reel. You can start or stop the retraction of the cord depending on how much length you need.

What is the low temperature limit?

There are no cold weather restrictions for this cord reel, if mounted indoors this cord reel should retract under normal winter temperatures.

It's is in my heated barn lowest temps we get are about 32 at night with no problems

There are no repair or replacement parts for this unit. In the event that you accidentally break the item or cut the cord you would need to purchase a new ReelWorks cord reel.

The Reelworks cord reel is not weatherproof. Therefore, should not be mounted outdoors.
