Neither of these band saw can cut a 2' x 2' sheet of metal. The smaller, 120 volt unit can only cut 4" x 6" and the larger 5" x 16". Both are traditionally used for cutting tubing, piping, bar stock, etc. and not large, flat pieces of metal.

The model (41/2") I purchased several years ago has an adjustable tab that pushes the on/off switch down or off when the cut is finished. Very simple and works every time.
