The dimensions of this Cadet Bi-Metal Thermostat are 4.50" H x 2.75" W x 1.13" D. It does not have a positive shut off. Please see item # 14993 listed below for a thermostat with a positive shutoff.

This thermostat does not have a positive off feature. If you are looking for a thermostat with that feature then you are looking for a T410B. I have provided a link to Norther Tool website where you can find this thermostat.

The thermostat will only operate on 120/208/240 Volts AC current. You would not be able to use this in a DC application.
