The OBD2 Diagnostic Tool is used to test and verify that all emissions-related components and/or systems are operating correctly and within the manufacturer’s specifications. These tools also have the ability to communicate with other computers on the vehicle (ABS, ride control, body, etc.). This tool can communicate with the ABS system. Federal law requires that all 1996 and newer cars and light trucks sold in the United States must be OBD2 compliant; this includes all Domestic, Asian and European vehicles.
