Yes two black metal plates come with the unit. They are about an Inch thick.

The Torin Hydraulic Shop Press will not come with arbor plates. It does come with 2 press plates. Northern Tool does sell arbor shop presses, ranging from 1/2 ton up to 3 tons. See links below.
