Question

How much micro adjustment do you have?

I need to lift a wall. The 2X4's in the wall have been eaten by termites and the wall is starting to colapse. There is brick on the outside of wall on garage.A contactor told me to use a jack on the opening of the garage and about 6" from the wall on the ceiling joysts. He wants me to lift a little at a time over several days. After the pressure is off of wall, he wants me to take the panaling off the wall and replace the 2x4s and retie the brick wall. I need to lift the wall about 2". Or would a different jack be better?

The jack is adjusted by pulling a pin and adjusting the telescoping piece to the desired length. Fine adjustments can be made with a 3/4" open ended wrench.
