To expand on Klutchexpert's answer, if the tools are of the same capabilities and quality, it would (in my opinion) come down to a couple of things. Comparing the bulkiness of the electric tool itself, versus the bulkiness/ interference of air hose. Another would be the availability of air for tools, or outlets for electrical tools. It's also in what you're accustomed to. I'm well adjusted to electrical tools, so for me, muckling onto an equivalent air tool would be an awkward experience. Hope this helps.
