Yes, This Arcan service jack lowers by simply turning the handle counter clockwise, performing this opens a valve using a universal joint.

Yes, the valve opens with a turn of the handle and the jack will begin to lower. The more you turn the quicker it will fall, so you have to be careful when lowering, but that's like any jack like this. This makes it convenient to lower the car while standing clear.

YES!!! A u-joint with a square shaft is located in the bottom of the jack's receiver that the handle slips into and mates with the square shaft. The handle has a collar, on the end that mates with the shaft, that also has a grove on it's outside that allows for a short threaded bolt. that is in the jack's receiver. to protrude into the handle's grove. The grove is deeper than the bolt protrudes, thus allowing the handle to turn and operate the u-joint connected to the release valve. This allows for the jack ro be pulled around by it's handle while operating the valve with just a twist of the handle. Works better than any I've tried.

It lowers like many other floor jacks. You twist the handle counter clockwise to lower.

It is a u-joint connection between the handle and the release valve. You turn the handle counter clock-wise to lower the jack. It provides good control.

Simply turn the handle counterclockwise to lower. The handle fits almost like a socket which is connected to a universal joint, so you can turn the handle no matter the position.

The wheels are constructed of steel. They are ball bearing mounted and the rear are swivel.

The wheels are made of steel, very sturdy! If the floor is wet make sure to dry it or prop up jack so you do not get rust spots on the floor.

Some reviewers claim the wheels are made of plastic. All four wheel on mine (which was recently purchased) are steel. They are all magnetic which is a property of non-ferrus metals. Dont know of any magnetic plastics.

High strength steel. This unit weighs about 100 pounds... It lifts the front or rear of my Class C Motorhome without breaking a sweat. Hope that helps.

it is made of a mixture of stamped and forged steel and cast iron. The only plastic part is the Part/Warning sticker!

This Arcan service jack is packaged in a box that is 32.375 inches long, 15.5 inches wide, and 7.375 inches high.

If you plan on picking this up at a Northern Tool & Equipment retail store be sure to contact that location before hand to be sure that they have it in stock.

its about 4-5" circle. the cut depth is about nothing. there are 4 wall type things on the edge that will catch the lift point that are about 1/4" tall

China, seems to be very well made, fit and finish is very good and is above that of the Tiawan made jack it replaced that only lasted 30yrs for me. Time will tell.

It's made in China, but it really doesn't matter in this case. It says right on the box "Made in China to Arcan's specifications" and it sure seems like USA quality

The center-to-center distance is about 23" depending on which way the back wheels are swiveled (front or back).

From the center of the 5 in. dia. saddle, to the rear, is 13 in. before any rise higher than the front of the side rails. The side rails are slightly higher than the front wheels and saddle.

~13 1/2" from the center of the saddle to the "Rise" of the frame which might interfere. It's about 16" from the center of the saddle to the pivot. I hope this helps!

It depends on the height. It says it's a 2 stage quick lift, but I've never noticed it to be any quicker than my old jack.

Definitely a well built and useful jack though.

To empty/fill the hydraulic fluid for this service jack you would need to remove the cover plate at the top of the cylinder to access the fill plug that would be located on the side of the cylinder itself.

It is located on top of the jack under a cover held on with 4 phillips head machine screws, just foward of the jack handle.

The hydrolic fluid fill screw is located on the hydrolic cylinder, almost immediately below the zerk fitting for the lifting arm. the removal of the plate above it (two philips screws on either side) is required to access the fill screw.
