May we suggest contacting the manufacturer, Dutton Lainson, for parts as a spring kit and the jaws are replaceable.

You could contact the manufacture. I would replace any of the axis parts with stainless bolts and washers useing a Nylon lock nut to get the right tension. The springs can be purched at any good hardwarw store like Ace. If you break or loose grabbing action you can weld and file to sharpen the wire grabbers. For the money if you break some of the main parts I would just buy a new one. You probably used the stretcher to do something it wasnt designed for. I have used these stetchers for years and only replaced the spring and sharpened the wire grabbers. PDK22
