The parts washer is made from steel, that includes the lid, the tank/tub and the shelf.

Pump suction filter?
Does the suction inlet on the pump have a screen and or filter to remove particles from the cleaning fluid before re-interning the the inlet /suction of the pump?Thanks

No, there is not a filter included with this parts washer separate from the drain grate in the bottom of the unit.

looks like it has a plastic screen on the pump to stop big pieces from going back in to the unit. you can get a bag filter to filter out the small particles but it does not come with it

There is not a stand made specifically for the parts washer. It would be placed on a bench or table. Northern does offer a parts washer complete with a stand.

Question
will the pump handle carb cleaner, such as Gunks' Carb-Medic
My intentions are to use this 3 1/2 gal parts washer to clean carburators for rebuilding. The pump would have to stand up to a carburator cleaner such as Gunks' Carb-Medic, etc. Will it work with this cleaner? Thanks, SMS

No, this unit is made to be used with a non-flammable water-based degreaser or cleaning agent, such as Simple Green. Using this parts washer with any solvent based flammable product is not recommended and could result in potentially dangerous situation.
