Yes, this clutch will engage when turned in both the clockwise and counter clockwise directions.

The clutch will fit on any standard 5/8" shaft with a 3/16" keyway. The shaft will need to accept a bolt and washer at the end to bolt this clutch onto the engine.

If you mean internally threaded, than, yes.
If you mean externally threaded it would depend on the length of the shaft.

What would the difference be between a 10 tooth or 12 tooth clutch for a go cart?

I have a 12 tooth now but I want to know what would the difference be if I put a 10 tooth on.

By changing the clutch in the go kart, the gear ratio would be changed depending on what sprocket and chain are being used.

That 10 tooth would give you more torque ie better for hills and heavier riders, or on a Kart more low end speed.
The 12 tooth would give you higher top speed.

The minimum length for the shaft would be 2 3/4". The shaft needs to be drilled and tapped so you can put an bolt and washer in the end to hold the clutch on.
