vertically 1 1/4", horizontally 2 3/16"

The mounting dimensions are: Horizontal bolt hole to bolt hole: 3 3/8in and vertical bolt hole to bolt hole: 1 3/4in.

What is the OUTSIDE DIMENSION of the base plate?

Don't need to know the dimensions for the mounting holes; rather, I would like to know the outside dimension of the mounting plate. I have a limited amount of space onto which to mount the hitch!
