yes. the lights illuminate the license plate when used in conjunction with the provided license plate bracket. quite well, in fact!

The light comes with 2 wiring harnesses. One is 25 feet long and the other is 6 1/4 feet long.

A side lens for the Blazer trailer light kit is not available as the light is sonic welded for the light to be submersible. A left or right light is available for replacement.

Splicing in required lights

Does the wiring allow for the splicing in of the other required lamps (front clearance, front sidemarkers, rear clearance, rear ID lamps)? Is the wiring of sufficient length and gauge for the extra requirements?

The unit has 2 wiring harnesses, one is 300" the other 75". It would be of sufficient length and gauge. The manufacture does not recommend splicing in more than 1-2 other lights. If you were to go more that this it would affect the voltage of the lights.
