This quick change hitch is only for a category 2 connection. It cannot be used for a category 1 3-point setup. Northern Tool doesn't carry a quick change hitch that's compatible with both category 1 and 2. Click the link below to view the category 1 quick change hitch.

They aren't all that fast to install and remove.
Personally I have better uses of my time than to be swapping them. Buy two sets.

The pin slot on the 3-Point Quick Change Hitch is 1 1/4". The pin slots are slightly larger than the pins that go in them to make it easier to hook and unhook.

Question

Accesories as stated in PDF manual

Do you offer the optional stabilizer bar Model ST 100? Do you also offer extra lynch pin washers? Always good to have extras. Could this hitch system be used with your NorTrac Quick Hitch Bushings sets?

We do offer an optional stabilizer bar model ST 100, through our parts department that can be ordered. Extra lynch pin washers would need to be ordered through the manufacturer directly. The NorTrac Quick Hitch Bushing set is not compatible with this item.

Question

spreader bar

Do you sell the spreader bar option for this item? It sets the distance between the two hook-ups. There is literature about the spreader bar in the box that the quick-change hitch comes in however I can't find it on the Northern Tool website.

answer 2
You can google "Pat's 3-point Quick Change Hitch Spreader Bar" and you will get a lot of options for this. You can also make one yourself out of PVC or metal pipe...one a smaller diameter than the other so that they slide inside. Or you can do what I did, make a spreader bar for each implement...cut a piece of broom stick the length (width) you need for that implement. Put a nail in the each end and turn them both down 90 degrees. The nail will fit inside the holes on the inside portions of the QC's (if you installed them correctly) and hold the spread while you are backing the tractor up. I remove the spreader once I am hooked up and store it in a place so it doesn't get thrown away. I then bungee cord it to the implement when I am done with it and have disconnected it from the tractor so that I have it available for the next hook up.

Question

What is the dimension from the center of the fixed link pin to the front edge where the U bolt drops through to attach?

I have a Case IH 4210 with extendable links and only have 2.5" from the center of the link hole to the point where the bar fits into a larger opening and am not sure if I can use these for that reason?

Question

What is the difference between a Category 1 vs Category 2?

I also read some comments about needing a stablilizer bar, but on other websites it says these now come with a stabilizer bar, but it does not state this in your description. Do these include the stabilizer bar?

The type of hitch you need depends on the Category of implements that will be used. Category 1 implements have 7/8" pins and Category 2 implements have 1-1/2" pins. This 3-point hitch does not come with a stabilizer bar.
