Installing 2" ball hitch?
What is involved in converting form the pin hitch to a 2" ball hitch?
Is it as simple as cutting off the pin hitch tabs and bolting on the ball hitch fitting? Just used standard bolts, or do I need hardened (e.g. grade 8) bolts?

A 2" ball hitch adapter is available for this tandem axle trailer. The ball hitch adapter bolts on right over the trailer's pin hitch fitting. It uses the pin hitch hole as one of its bolt holes. There is no cutting or welding required. It can be converted back to the pin hitch by simply unbolting the ball hitch adapter. The part number for the ball hitch adapter is POL8260. Call the Northern Tool Parts Department for pricing and availability at 1-800-657-0516. The Parts department is open Monday-Friday, 7am-6pm Central time and Saturday, 7am-3pm.
I was asking about what is involved in installing, not the part number for the 2" ball hitch.
I was able to find out by contacting the manufacturer directly: The 2" ball hitch fitting bolts on right over the pin hitch fitting. In fact, it uses the pin hitch hole as one of the bolt holes. There is no cutting or welding required, and it can be converted back to th epin hitch by simply unbolting the 2" ball hitch adapter.
