The range of power consumption of the charge controller would be anywhere from 200 to 500 milliamps when the wind turbine is not generating any power.

The green charging LED will come on typically at 9 MPH. It will require a 1 amp output to illuminate.

What is the vertical and horizontal mounting clearance required?

I need to know the clearance required from pole mount to tail. I have searched the manual and manuafacturers site, but I only see what must be the shipping box dimensions.

The distance from the pole mount to the tail is approximately 4 feet and the minimum recommended height is 30 ft or 20 ft above any nearby obstructions such as trees and buildings.

Yes, you may combine the solar system with the wind turbine for additional energy. The wind turbine has an integrated charge controller, so there is no need for a larger charge controller then your currently have with the 60 watt solar system.
