Question
How will splitters hydraulics be operated?
The owners manual for my New Holland TC45D tractor says for the remote hydraulics,"to operate the single spool valve, pull lever to retract cylinder, push lever the extend cylinder". Does this mean that I will have to operate the splitter from the lever on the tractor? Or will I be able to bungee cord the tractor lever and use the lever on the splitter?

Once this splitter is properly connected to your tractor, you should be able to use the valve on this splitter exclusively. Please contact your local implement dealer for for questions specific to your brand of tractor.

I have a John Deee 4600 which is similar to the New Holland. The JD 4600 has hydraulic ports with quick-connect fittings to operate the loader. I just connected the IN line from the splitter to the "tip" (lift) port on the tractor loader and the OUT line to the "tilt" (dump) port then bungied the lever to the "tip" (lift) position. I can operate the splitter from the lever on the splitter. The John Deere dealer stated that as long as the hydraulic cylinder on the splitter had a flow through valve and that the ports used on the tractor were paired it would work fine. It does. Hope this helps.
