I'm looking for a pump to pump dirty water out of my pond.
This pump has 1" in/outlet, which is larger than others that are for 5/8 garden hose... but it says clearwater so, I'm not sure if it will work with dirty freshwater. Can anyone tell me if it'll be easy to clog up?

It will work. I just posted to this pump. I used it to pump through a 1IN line to feed a couple sprinklers about 250-300ft up a moderate hill. My pond is as dirty as yours. I had a screen with a foot valve on it. I kept it off the bottom out of the mud. I used it regularly for about 2 months. I put it in the garage and came to get it today. It was seized. If you don't use it year round, you'd better bump test it every couple of weeks or so to keep it from seizing. I had to move to a different pump, but if you use it regular, it's not too bad.

The Ironton Clear Water Pump will not accept any solids. This would work with gray water but not water has any debris in it. A strainer could be used on the end of the suction hose to prevent clogging of the pump.
