That depends. At the very least you need to know the hardness, PH level and the amount (if any) of iron and sulpher. If you don't have any red or rust colored staining, then no worries. If you don't have a rotten egg smell, no worries. If either the red staining or foul smell are present then definitely have it tested first. The WaterBoss is a great piece of equipment as long as it's used in the proper application.
