Staff Answer
This Watersource Leakproof Ball Brass Foot Valve is not rated for back pressure. It is designed to hold water in a suction hose, so that the pump that is attached to will keep its prime. It only needs to hold the back pressure of the weight of the water, up the maximum suction head of the water pump. That is usually about 23' vertically.
