Yes, the control box is included, and it does have a 3 quart reservoir.

Question

Does it include a mounting kit?, Can I use my existing plow switch? Can you cross reference replacement for an existing system? My

My current Snow plow system is a Curtis sno-pro 2000. Parts are no longer available. Will the Haldex system work as a replacement? Currently 1 hydraulic hose goes to the verticle ram for up and down, the other to the angle ram connection. Thanks

This Haldex Snowplow Unit does not have a mounting kit, but this has the mounting directly on the unit itself. This unit also comes with a remote, wiring a different remote to this unit will void the warranty. Unfortunately, we are unable to cross reference these items.

This Haldex snowplow unit can also be mounted vertically. You would need to install a 90 degree elbow on the fill tube to keep the fill/breather cap horizontal when the power unit is mounted vertically. If the unit is mounted vertically, the usable oil capacity of the reservoir decreases.

There is not a pump filter nor is one required. The snowplow unit has a 18 month warranty that is handled by Northern's Technical Team.

Question

Can you change oil?

Is there a need to change the oil yearly? And can you change the oil if you want? Also what is the preferred fluid to be used, I used ATF in my old set up. Do I need to get all of that out of the system?

The oil should be changed periodically depending on how much it is used as well as how often. It is recommended to use Dextron 3 automatic transmission fluid on this unit.

The snowplow unit has 3 ports which are 1/4"-18 NPTF. The usable capacity of the reservoir is .62 gallons.
