We do not carry a sprinlker pump that would go 500 feet in length. The item 10632 will only pump 115 feet horizontally.

answer 2
depending upon how long you want to pump, it will do what you are asking but the gas tank is small and it is a volume pump and not a pressure pump so it wont give much of a spray.

While it is possible to use an adapter on the pump outlet to use this pump with garden hose, doing so will restrict the flow and lead to reduced pump performance. It is possible to pump water over the distance of 1/10 of a mile (528 ft) as long as the water is not being pumped up more than a 115 ft rise.

Yes, this pump is a great choice for flooding an ice rink. Be sure to take precautionary measures so that the pump does not freeze when not in use.

Question

The specs state the max head is 115ft. Will this product pump water any farther than that distance?

If i needed to pump water approx. 200 lineal ft. at a total raise of 10 ft.with this pump, approximately how many gallons per hour could I expect? And would this type of pump be capable of adequately running a sprinkler at this distance?

The maximum head of a pump only takes rise into consideration, not the horizontal distance that the water is being pumped. For the situation that you have described the total head would be 10 ft. A 10 ft. head will not drastically reduce the flow of this pump. Keep in mind that running something such as a sprinkler with this pump will greatly reduce the flow of this unit because the outlet is being obstructed to build pressure at the sprinkler head. Using this pump to operate a sprinkler system could shorten its overall service life by placing strain on the components. A standard household water faucet will provide anywhere from 4 to 11 gallons per minute, this pump is providing approximately 29 gallons per minutes so it would be reasonable to expect that this pump should run 3-4 sprinkler heads at a time. The more sprinkler heads that are being run at one time, the less restriction you will have and the easier it will be on the pump components.

answer 2
I've only run it about 100 ft with 3/4 in hose with about 15 feet of lift but it has 40 to 50 lbs of pressure in that situation. IMHO, it would run a single sprinkler just fine and probably more than one. You'd probably want to use 5/8" hose to connect the sprinklers together; that'll decrease the volume but increase the pressure.

You need to prime the pump at least once. And check the prime before you use it. It has a check valve, so it shouldn't lose prime quickly

No, the NorthStar Water Pump cannot be used as an on-demand pump. Restricting water flow will create back pressure and cause damage on the engine and pump.
