The output of your VHF radio has nothing to do with the input it requires. If your radio needs less than the output of the inverter device, then YES.

No, this converter will not support the 8500 pound Superwinch because it requires 400 Amps of power, this converter only can support 5.8 Amps.

The converter is capable of putting our approximately 70 watts of power. If your drill or well requires this or less on both start-up and running then yes it will work.
